    Dual-Main Drains Help Prevent Entrapment

    Life-threatening suction-entrapment events have been a long-standing problem in pools and spas: One in four incidents of entrapment led to a fatality between 1985 and 2002.     Florida Pool Safety Not Weakened

    Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz applauded Governor Charlie Crist’s veto of HB 679.     IESA Requires Coaching Education

    Tests Confirm Safety of NJ Fields

    Test results issued by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services confirmed that the synthetic turf fields tested in New Jersey are safe for children and athletes. The findings support that a child of 50 pounds would have to ingest nearly 100 pounds of synthetic turf to realize the minimum lead threshold allowed for toys set by the U.S. government.
